Blurry Photos – Love Them or Hate Them?

I have a love/hate relationship with the intentionally out-of-focus, blurry photos that are everywhere right now. You know the ones—soft, dreamy, full of movement, and oh-so-artsy.

And honestly? I’ve tried it. I get why people love it! There’s something nostalgic about a slightly blurred image, like a fleeting memory you can feel rather than just see. It’s raw, emotional, and definitely breaks away from the traditional idea that every photo needs to be perfectly sharp.

But here’s the thing: no matter how much I experiment with it, I just can’t shake the feeling that the image is... well, out of focus. 😅 I love capturing the little details—the way tiny fingers curl around mama’s hand, the sparkle in a senior’s eyes, the way a couple looks at each other with pure love. Sometimes, a little motion blur adds to the emotion, but other times, I find myself craving the crispness of a well-focused shot.

Maybe I’ll come around one day, but for now, I’m still on the fence. Blurred photos can be beautiful, but they’re definitely not for everyone.

What about you? Do you love the dreamy, imperfect look, or do you prefer those tack-sharp storytelling shots? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
